digging out bugs still

This is the first utility app I've pushed as a public repo, so you will find where I am hitting speedbumps while adapting it to work (securely) outside the dev environment. I'm deliberately doing that shift from dev to production in a public repo because I found far less cohesive info about the process than I would like.

So if you have cloned this and tried to run it, you've run into the same bugs... I'd love to hear about your experience (and certainly whether my documentation is making sense).

That said, I am pretty close to extricating the vite dependencies that are all artifacts of the dev environment. At that point, I'm gonna go for another first and push a release version.
