Invalid port number Redshift -

Hi, I am having problem logging into redshift, using the following command
cx.read_sql(f"postgresql://{db_red.username}:{db_red.password}@{db_red.host}:{db_red.port}/edw", sql_command)
My port number is 5432.
Error is RuntimeError: parse error: invalid port number
I am using Python 3.10 and connectorx version is '0.3.1'

It seems the issue is with parsing the connection string because my password contains forward slash (/) and equal (=) symbols
I tried using urllib.parse.quote_plus for the password, as suggested in #319
Then I don't get the error but password authentication fails because it seems password is getting changed leading to authentication failure.

Can somebody please help?

Also instead of using "postgresql" I changed it to "redshift" in connection
