Justify this Model Choice

There is a peer reviewed paper (here) in the JIEC. The code is very well documented, there is a long list of publications using the models (not necessarily the existing Python implementation).

Converting the Model Code

I assume conversion would be minimal, since the entire codebase is in Python, is modular, so process models for specific waste management processes can be extracted, or even the optimization logic (although I am not sure how that would integrate into the Sentier.dev platform). Input data are also available as .py files.
