When running a ansible playbook wthin semaphore ui my collections from the semaphoreUI isn't loaded. Looks like the configured module search paths are wrong.

When running it myself and checking the --version from semaphore user and in the /tmp/semaphore location i get another setup.

i'm using 2.1.15 and as RPM

is there are way to change this behavor to actual load the semaphore users "space".?

So it is because it doesn't load collections and roles installed within semaphore's user home dir :/ If i cp all the collections and roles to /tmp/semaphore/.ansible it works. ANy one know how to change this behaviour?

Are your modules stored in the repository or in a separate folder?

My modules are installed on the server. Placed within the user folder. I build it and push it to the host. CUrrently i just changed this to the /usr/share/ansible and it also works. But It's a bit weird that it doesn't load as standard ansible does.

It needs to be said as you know we use the pro version. Also we are not using the container. It's good old server with systemd (rhel9).
Also this isn't the only weird thing. it's not loading the ansible.cfg from within the user space (so not following the standard hirachy of ansible). Not really an issue as i can just add it to /etc/ansible/ansible.cfg. But it is a bit weird

It is initial behaviour of Semaphore. It sets HOME to tmp directory path (root directory for cloned repositories).

To be honest, I don't remember why it was done this way. But we can't change this for now because it breaks a lot of configurations.

But I agree, it wasn't the best decision.

Okay :) i will just build in /usr then as i see it gets it's collections from there also :D
