Is it possible to source SDKMAN from Pythons subprocess?

I am trying to use SDKMAN from a Python CLI to install SDKs. Though I seem to be unable to run sdk via the subprocess module provided by Python because I am unable to source the init script before calling sdk:

  f"source $HOME/.sdkman/bin/sdkman-init.sh && sdk install java",
  shell=True,
  text=True,
)

❯ python test.py
/bin/sh: 1: source: not found

Is there a way to get around this? I guess one way would be to generate a bash script and call that instead of running sdk directly.
