Install script says cache folder not writable when it doesn't even exist #972

@DNA-styx

Description

@DNA-styx

What are the steps to reproduce this issue?

  1. Download latest.zip (as of 22JUN24) or git-clone
  2. Upload to web site host
  3. Start install process
  4. Proceed to step3

What happens?

Step three says that the cache folder is not writable. Checking the server the cache folder does not exist.

What were you expecting to happen?

Cache folder should exist. Either (in order of preference IMHO) include it in the repository so it is created during upload, create it in code or adjust the install instructions and have the installer return a more informative error message.

Any logs, error output, etc.?
