I'm doing some research of the problem.
It's not an easy one but I think not impossible...

It seems that a proper solution must be built around the native Print functionality of a browser.
(Unlike other possible solutions, it 1) doesn't involve a server and 2) preserves the needed layout without much tricks).
Try printing this page.
I saved pdf in Chrome and in the print dialog window chose 1) A2 paper size and 2) scale 40%.
Result is quite good, only that on some zoom levels I had unwanted thin horizontal lines - I wonder if they will appear on paper, didn't try it.

If it works ok for you, there will be a couple of problems remaining: 1) how to remove everything else from a page before printing and 2) how to adjust a given bracket, and possibly the whole page too, to display a "full bracket" as in the example above.
Perhaps to solve these 2 it will be necessary to open a new browser window with a modified page.

What are your thoughts on this?

Maybe a solution using the browser's 'Export as PDF' would be good - if it could just remove all the extra stuff?

After some more research, I gave up trying to add printing functionality to Bracketry itself.
There are lots of quirks in the resulting pdf and they differ from browser to browser and overall very hard to fix.

At the moment I can only give an example project that roughly solves the problem but with caveats. (Code and page).
In this project, on button click a new window is opened with a bracket adjusted for printing.

Then a user needs to actually print the page and to do it right. There are many problems to address. (And problems will depend on the tournament).
First of all, recommended browser is Chrome. Other browsers give different, and perhaps worse, results.
In Chrome user has to adjust some print settings, most likely "Paper size" and/or "Scale". Obviously these settings must ensure that the entire tournament fits into the page horizontally. But that's not the only concern...
It's very desirable that a tournament also fits into only 1 page. That's because, starting from the 2nd page, something weird happens to the margins that causes vertical misalignment between rounds.
From my observations, this problem can be prevented in Chrome by
a) making a tournament fit into 1 page
b) (In some cases) changing the "Margins" print setting to "None". Not sure how bad this is.

The problem of margins is just the first problem that I came across and couldn't solve; but there can be other problems that I'm not aware of. If you find some new ones, please describe them in this thread.

Overall I think it will be possible to build a solution for a specific project but it must be done with care and, most annoyingly, it will require some knowledge on user's part.

This gets pretty close.
I'm trying it with the 2025 Australian open men's bracket and I can't quite get it to print on two landscape pages which would almost work. I can't quite get the page break after medvedev and before djokovic.

The best printable brackets I've seen for 64 seeds are from the NCAA tourney.
Normally, I see them printed on 4 landscape pages, 1 for each quadrant.

Well, at the moment bracketry can't do two halves on opposite sides.
Difficult to say how ncaa does it but apparently they have a very different design.
My advice is the same as before:

1. play with "Margins" setting in the print dialog
2. or make the tournament fit into 1 page by adjusting paper size and scale
3. or do it on server side. This is of course more complex but I think it's also the only proper way. On server side you can use tools like Puppeteer or any other that can render your page as a picture. (That's my understanding of how they work but I might be wrong)
