Implement interactive figures

Currently the figures are rather static, as is the nature of matplotlib, however it might be worthwhile to make them more interactive. For example, allowing users to easily zoom into regions of interest or probe plot values.

My preliminary research into this has shown me two promising libraries for this purpose:

• pyqt
• Altair
