What happened?

When I press full screen button it should Idle rotate the device to landscape but it's not happening... I have checked in different devices, no rotation lock applied, no force rotation applies in flutter code as well.

I encountered the same issue, could it be due to YouTube updating the iframe? My setFullScreenListener is no longer working either.

This worked for me, you can give it a try.

@Adityadgithub This is a known limitation of the youtube_player_iframe package. It uses an iframe-based web view that doesn't handle native orientation changes as expected, especially on fullscreen toggle — this behavior is controlled more by the embedded YouTube player than Flutter itself, so there's limited control over it.

If proper fullscreen behavior and auto-rotation are essential, I recommend switching to omni_video_player. It’s built using youtube_explode_dart and video_player, and provides much better control over playback, fullscreen mode, rotation, and UI customization. This should solve the issue you're experiencing

Hey, same issue on my end... Works great on iOS but not working on Android. Can't achieve to play video on landscape mode on Android...
