Validating and adding defaults values

Hello 👋

We're looking for a JSON Schema validator that will validate a YAML/JSON against a JSON Schema and also apply defaults and output the adjusted YAML/JSON.
Is this possible via this jsonschema CLI tool or currently not? I do not really have enough time to go into detail of the tool and I have a feeling that this should be basic functionality.

It only does validation. It does not output with applied defaults

thank you for the quick answer.
Are there any plans to add such feature by any chance? It would be very useful. If no then are there any other tools that have such feature? AJV has such feature, but not inside its CLI.

I might try in my free time, but cannot guarantee it. If impl not too invasive, and not impact perf

I doubt it may interfere with validation. For example Max properties. If we add missing prop it will change number of properties, affecting validation behavior

@santhosh-tekuri could also be a separate functionality, separated from the validation. Someone could do validation and then add defaults or the other way around and that would be fine also as long as it's all supported within one CLI tool.
Either way, really appreciate it, would definetly use the tool if this feature is in.
