It would be nice to have a CSS editor to more easily create your own styles for a site. There could even be a button to open an issue/pull request to add your theme to the main repo.

If you edit a theme that already exists, it should be stored locally and no longer updated from repo fetches. A button should exist as well to reset/sync to the main repo again.

This change would make it a lot easier for people to contribute.

I've tried using the built-in editor in Dark Reader, although this requires disabling Dynamic mode, which kinda defeats the purpose of using Dark Reader in the first place. And you won't see any CSS that's potentially injected by this addon.

I usually recommend using Stylebot for this as it's very powerful and also doesn't break often like stylus or so and has an overlay editor. The thing is that it's a bit complex job and also on firefox, they don't really work that well. Even stylebot freaks out if there is a text box in focus inside the page and then the extension stops acting to keystrokes.
