Switch Monika.chr, how should I do that?

I have a Monika.chr saved on my phone. I want to switch this Chr. file with the new from the apk, how should I do that?

the files should probably be kept external from the apk itself especially since it requires file modification.
the apk should be packaged with/tell the player to download x-plore since normal file managers do not allow changing apk data files and xplore allows you into that folder to modify files.

it'd also be better because you can then apply mods.
