[Bug] no speaker audio option on iPhone

🐞 What went wrong?

I installed Latry, easy enough and the app on the iPhone works.
However there is no option to have the receive audio come from the iPhone speaker. The receive audio only comes from the iPhone telephone earpiece meaning the receive audio is very low.
As a result you have to have the iPhone against your ear all the time, you can not put the iPhone down on a table to listen to Latry otherwise you can not hear received audio.

I believe the Android version has the option to use the phone’s speaker.
Can this option please be added to the iPhone version to make Latry usable by listening to Latry on the iPhone’s much louder speaker?

🔁 Steps to reproduce

1. Open the app and …
2. Tap …
3. …
   Latry opens, enter all the required details on the only page that the IoS version of Latry has and you only hear audio from the iPhone’s earpiece and not the iPhones speaker.

There is no settings screen on the IoS version and no way to set the received audio to come from the iPhone’s speaker.
I have swiped the Latry opening page up/down/left/right and I can’t find a settings page. If there is a settings page, how does one access it?

I belive this may simply be that the output should be set .defaultToSpeaker during set up..... Any chance of an update please SIlviu!

At least currently, I don't really have the time to invest in this project anymore (and also I'm not using it).
Let's hope there is existing at least one person besides me that have the time, have a (small) technical background - otherwise maybe some bucks to burn and will get involved and will contribute.

It’s no small niggle. Hi Silviu, After examine your code, in the IOSAudioManager.mm the option for DefaultToSpeaker is correctly set but seems not to be enacted. So I wonder if at line 123 in the } else { something like - { // Explicitly ensure speaker is default output [self.audioSession overrideOutputAudioPort:AVAudioSessionPortOverrideSpeaker error:&error]; if (error) { NSLog(@"IOSAudioManager: Failed to override to speaker: %@", error.localizedDescription); } Ahead of the // Log Actual Values might be required.
