Suggestion: Better OSS Repo Habits

As it currently stands, this repo is near impossible for a new user to understand.

• The alpha branch is set as the default in all documentation.
• The documentation currently lists many commands that do not work.
• Several different variants of command examples are given for the same task (e.g. train).
• non-Claude mode is entirely broken.
• Extreme number of commits to main that are broken instead of testing in the PR first.

I would love to contribute to improve this but it seems that external PR's are not addressed and the rapid speed at which the automated commits to main happen mean any meaningful effort is quickly lost to out-of-date changes.

Can we align this repo on something that will provide a tiny bit of stability so users can get onboarded better?
