In theory, yes. In practice? There are a lot of incompatible parts, that trying to piece them together, are a bit of a hassle

If it's open source, it's basically done by a dozen or so people learning how to have fun weekends... Or multiple corporations wanting to get in a truce, but the latter is less likely nowadays. Choose life.
