ROS 2 Humble: PS4 controller trigger value defaults to 0 until pressed #289

I'm running into an issue in ROS 2 Humble similar to #91 where the default value of the left and right triggers a PS4 controller (model CUH-ZCT1E) are 0.0 instead of 1.0. It seems like a default_trig_value was added to ROS, but doesn't appear in ROS 2.

This didn't seem to be the case in ROS 2 Foxy, so I'm thinking that it might be an issue with the specific SDL2 library version.
