Unable to open any .nii.gz files on MacOS if the file name is longer than 40 characters!

To reproduce the issue, open any file whose full path is longer than 256 characters, rather than the filename itself!

To reproduce the issue, rename any .nii.gz file (or .nii file) to say abcde12345abcde12345abcde12345abcde12345.nii.gz then the image would not open!

MRIcroGL is cross platform, and therefore adopts the Windows API MAX_PATH.
