Weird flash when navigation back to index when using expo router

I'm new to mobile development and this stack is definitely the quickest way to get up and running with an expo project (even better than the official docs imo).

I've regenerated the same project 3 times using bun create expo-stack goliath --expo-router --nativewind --bun yet there's a weird flash (seems like unmounting happening) where the screen that I'm leaving unmounts its components. I've tried changing the animation and everything and it still happens, even with animaton set to none.

Is this specific to the ces template or does it happen with any expo router app?

Ah sorry I don't think its the template. Just tried on a regular create-expo-app and the same happens
