Level of Detail on Map

Hi there,

I've noticed that the default street basemap provided is far less detailed than the one on the browser. Have attached what im seeing on my ios simulator:

vs the online preview for streets map:

I'm using '@rnmapbox/maps' version 10.1.39

I tried creating a new custom map style to see if that would help but wasn't able to get that working... just loaded black screen, not sure if there is a specific way to do that? Or if it would even help in the first place. Anyone else have any advice to offer. Is what im asking for even possible?
