Good to hear from you! I didn't realize Alian got it working. We had some discussions (#176), but I never saw an updated PR. I'll take a look at his repo and see if I can do something with it. |

I had a look and must say it's very nicely compartmentalized. Hats off to Aalian! I dropped his form into the current version, and added a button to the search bar. I don't have TeamCenter, so not sure if it works, but at least it compiles. I you want to try it, I can put out a beta preview out on Google Drive. Send me an email and I'll send you a link when it's ready. |

Yes, I downloaded SolidEdgeHousekeeper-v2025.1 yesterday and it was fine.
Our virus program stripped away the .exe in the Beta preview version.

Well, it worked for me, of course. Like you, I still suspect the template. I added a check that it opens correctly. If it doesn't, you should get a error message showing the name of the file it's actually trying to open. If you get an error, it might be informative to try that template in another location, and/or try a different template. I think I fixed the LinkMgmt.txt bug, by the way; I appreciate you telling me about it. With the help of your error and advise I figured it out. The template must be in the Teamcenter Cache Folder. I wounder if this is a Solid Edge Embedded Client SEEC thing when processing the files from the cache folder as they do connect to TC somehow.
If this is the case, then we need to add some sort of warning when processing Teamcenter Files to place the templates in the Cache folder or another set of Teamcenter Templates.
These locations do not work:

\\misdata\Network Path

Great sleuthing! I would not have found that. I'll figure out a way to check for template location when TeamCenter cache files are in the mix. Shouldn't be hard. I still have a couple other things to clean up. The main one is to handle the Another one is to generalize validation checks for |

There is a small annoying bug. As you know I use HK to connect to the current SE session, therefore it is not closed at the end of the batch activity. I did run SEHK, pressed the TC button just to have a look at the UI then closed it with the cancel button. That triggered the closure of SE. This should not happen, and the use active session should be honoured |

Yes, the Teamcenter side will have it hard coded to suit our Item Type(SEItem), ID (NNNNNNNN) and Revision (Alpha). These should be configurable by the user

Great sleuthing! I would not have found that. I'll figure out a way to check for template location when TeamCenter cache files are in the mix. Shouldn't be hard.
I still have a couple other things to clean up. The main one is to handle the List Out of Date flag. Right now I simply set it to False when Aalian's form is closed. That's circumventing the logic and could cause problems. I think I can copy @farfilli<https://github.com/farfilli> 's technique for handling the Files Source type. When I get something working, would you mind testing it for me?
Another one is to generalize validation checks for Item ID and Revision. Right now, they're hard-coded with your criteria. When I integrate that into the code, you'll have a one-time setup to make. In the Settings form, enter ^\d{8}$ for the Item ID, and ^[A-Z]$ for the Revision.

1. This error was present on first run. Pressing Continue worked and it does not come back. I think I remember seeing this on a previous build also.

1. Future - Not sure I understand the settings and Regex Number. I saw your help document, but I think these settings could be simpler.
* First time Run add a Pop up to the settings and/or default the '.*' value
* Teamcenter Standard Parts Administrator uses this format for settings. In the future you may want to update the settings to something similar. All values should be optional or allow a '*'
* Item Type (* or User Defined) Some users may need to define more then one Item Type. '*' Works for our case
* Item ID Pattern. 'N' represents a digit. For 8 digits 'NNNNNNNN' I believe some users might have a mixed value, number, symbol and/or Alpha. I am not sure how it is represented but maybe something like AAA-NNNNNN. (To be confirm with others)
* Revision Pattern 'A' is what we use not sure what others would need. '*' Works for us

1. After Searching and Caching the Teamcenter Files I am getting this, and no files are shown. User needs a prompt to press the 'Update' button or the 'Orange update button' should flash. I missed the orange button the first few times!

Appreciate the feedback! I can't see the error message in your email. Can
you tell me what it says?
Regarding the Regex, I'm not too crazy about that, either. It's a language
for programmers, by programmers. That said, I'm pretty sure Aalian did it
that way because it is a succinct and complete way of matching text
patterns. It could handle the case of multiple formats you mentioned, for
example.
For your site, the regex for Item ID (8 digits) is *^\d{8}$*. Revision (a
single capital letter) is *^[A-Z]$*.
Regarding the update button, that gets everybody. I need to add a message
box (that could be disabled) to alert new users. The reason it's like that
is for more time-consuming input scenarios, such as top-level assembly
searches, property filters, and some sorting options.

For the Regex stuff maybe in the future it could be simplifed atleast on the UI side. It is working for us but it will be intersting to see how it works for other companies. |

Perfect Robert.
My initial testing shows everything running as it should. I just ran 350 files from Teamcenter through the Open Save Task with no issues.

We have been using Solid Edge Housekeeper and I must say it is a great program. Last year I had a COOP student @AalianKhan create some code that allowed us to open Solid Edge files from Teamcenter. It is working great and I believe Aalian has shared the code. Just woundering if there is a chance that the Teamcenter integration could be added to the main version? See this disucssion for details - #129
