Android App Tech-Demo using Verovio

Since I did not find any good examples how Verovio could be integrated into a modern Android app I created one on my own and want to share it even in this early stage: verovio-demo-app

Current Features

• includes all mei test-files and some other samples available via a simple browser
• Hardware-accelerated rendering optimized for speed and low battery usage.
• CI builds and APK releases

to-do

• open any mei/musicxml file on the device
• improve UI
• unit-tests

I'm happy about any feedback, questions and feature suggestions.

I refined the app a bit and released it as v1.0.0. I will continue to add more features and improve things over the next few months.

I downloaded and tried it out – nice! If you plan on putting it on Google Play or distributing it more widely, you'll probably want to change the icon from the Verovio "V" to avoid the appearance of it being an official Verovio app.

The Verovio JavaScript toolkit allows the sheet music to adapt to the width of the screen, so you can set it at a consistent zoom, and it will wrap where it hits the edge of the screen. Is that possible with Verovio on Android? Here's a screenshot to show what I mean (the screenshot isn't using Verovio):

Thanks! I did not play around a lot with all the layout options Verovio offers but from what I saw this should be possible.
