Glad to have you aboard Nitish. There are two broad categories to contribute on. First there's the actual data in the database representing the RISC-V ISA (located in the yaml files underneath the arch top level directory). The other is the tools mostly written in the Ruby programming language that read the animal data from the database and then export it in various formats. Do one of these two sound like more of a fit for you than the other? |

Here's some candidates for you. #441 is relatively simple. If you want something more juicy, #245 might be a possibility. It involves creating a new relatively simple back and Generator that I'm assuming would write out an Excel xlsx file. I found a ruby gem that has good support for doing this. |

Sure I'll assign #441 to you. I've got another idea that may make more sense for you to do then #245. I'm thinking of #193. If you were to do this it would be a really good way for you to understand the guts of the Ruby code. You could also do just part of it and not have to do everything so it's a little better that way in terms of dipping your toe into the water. |

GitHub isn't letting me assign anything to you because it doesn't recognize your GitHub ID (Nj221102) even though I'm just copying and pasting it. I'm actually doing this on my phone right now so I'll have to check later when I'm in front of my computer. |

Hi everyone!
Iβm Nitish, a Computer Science student passionate about open-source and tech. Iβm super excited to join this community and contribute to this project! I came across this project through LFX'25, and Iβd love to get involved here and learn as much as I can.
Iβve already set up the project locally using the VS Code dev containers (thanks for the great docs! π), and now Iβm looking for an issue to start working on. I noticed there arenβt many good first issues labeled, so I thought Iβd ask yβall for guidance.
Iβd love to work on something that adds value to the project while helping me get more familiar with the codebase. If anyone has suggestions on where I can jump in, Iβd really appreciate it!
Thanks in advance, and looking forward to contributing! π
