Album screen thumbnail problem #1921

20250421 update. The problem still remains. After a rebuild of the USB Sandisk 1TB SSD (NTFS), a full database update, followed by create thumbnails (which was painfully slow, if that's any help?). The 'Album' screen worked and loaded all the images. Unfortunately, after a reboot the issue returned and the 'Album' screen locked up as soon as it was opened. As before, going back to i20250208 with the same drive resolved the issue. So it's seemingly not a write problem with USB drives, as the coverart.jpg and thumb.jpg images display fine in the earlier release when produced in 20250421. Jez |

Pi3B+ / Allo DigiOne Signature / Sandisk 1TB SSD (NTFS) / 1656 folder.jpg images (all required coverart.jpg and thumb.jpg images created).
Having read through the posts I realise this artwork problem has already been reported, but my problem seems to be more extreme.
I haven’t been able to access the ‘Album’ screen since the introduction of i20250309. The page and mouse pointer completely lock up after trying to display more than a few images, and none of the following updates up to the most recent 20250404 have resolved the issue.
I’ve tried more than once to create a fresh SD card install, and let ‘Update Thumbnails’ rebuild all the coverart.jpg and thumb.jpg images.
I’m no expert, but I’m wondering whether it may have something to do with my SSD being formatted in NTFS.
The issue doesn’t exist in the previous i20250208 release with the same Pi setup. Although, I did find a problem creating coverart.jpg and thumb.jpg files in the individual ‘Album’ screen.
In order to create more than a single album thumbnail it is necessary to update the database beforehand - otherwise the ‘OK’ button in the ‘Update Thumbnails’ pop-up will not work.
