Podcasts

Is there anybody out there with the ability, time and energy to build an addon for podcasts?
I do not have any of the above but I am a podcast superuser on Android.
rAudio is currently the best audio option on Rpi and the supplement of podcasts would make it even better.
Volumio has a half-baked solution but without sync.
I would suggest "Pocket Casts" as a starting point, as they do syncing between Android and iPhone and as far as I know provide a free interface.
