send a notification to notify daemon

Hi,

I’d like to know if there’s a feature (or if it can be added) where the terminal sends a notification to the system’s notification daemon in these cases:

• command exits with a non-zero status (failure).
• script prompts the user for input (e.g., yes/no).

Use case:
This would help in workflows where long-running commands or unattended scripts require attention. Instead of constantly monitoring the terminal, I’d get a desktop notification when something needs my action.
