Hi Botan community! I'm Hannes, a security and crypto engineer from Berlin 👋 I work at neXenio, where we first started using Botan around five years ago for our secure file sharing solution. Currently we're involved in adding support for TLS 1.3 and adding Kyber. Thanks @randombit for setting up Discussions, I'm looking forward to building a stronger Botan community with all of you 😃 |

Hello Botan people! I'm René, working on security/crypto related projects at neXenio in Germany. As @hrantzsch already pointed out, we're using Botan in our company for quite a while now. A major factor in that decision was that Botan is endorsed by the German Federal Office for Information Security for use in high security applications. I started contributing to the library with improvements on the X.509 certificate support, integration of TLS trust roots provided by the operating system and also a few build systems improvements (e.g. Conan-Center's botan recipe). Lately, I'm helping to add Kyber as a PQC algorithm (via the KBLS project) and work with @hrantzsch on the implementation of TLS 1.3. Thanks @randombit, for this amazing library and the great experience while contributing to it! |

Hello Botan Community, I am Kağan. I have been a professional software engineer for about three years. I am an open source and C++ enthusiast. I am currently working especially on Linux-based server software and I use Botan for content verification (cross-checking). I like Botan's modern C++20 standard, up-to-date tools, and tightly controlled development environment. Although I still stick to C++11 and older technologies in my business life, I have the opportunity to learn by realizing my own mistakes thanks to project tests and development standards. In this direction, I want to improve both Botan and my own skills by exchanging information with you and making small contributions. Thank you @randombit for what you have developed and presented. Also, thanks to @reneme who guided me with her knowledge most of the time during the review phase. I am always open to your feedback and especially want to support the sustainable development of the project in my free time. Have a nice day! |
