Add smrender to Taginfo Projects

Show the OpenStreetMap community what data you are using. Add smrender to the list of Taginfo Projects.

PS: Do you happen to know if List of Lights publication 110 (Greenland, S. America) was ever imported at all?

Thank you, I will have a look at it.

Regarding LoL110: Yes it may be that it wasn't imported because we had discussions about maintainability of lights. But I'll try to find out where I stopped with the import.
Nevertheless, it can still be imported although I would have to check if my tools still work nowadays.

Regarding Taginfo: I'm not sure if I understand this right but does it show which OSM tags are used throughout the project?
If so, I think it doesn't make much sense since Smrender is a renderer which doesn't care about some specific tags. It just depends on the ruleset of the user.

From what I could see, in the repository you have provided a set of tags which the user can choose to use in their ruleset, at least by default. It (also given the name of the renderer) focuses on ie. seamark rendering rather than all the available tags.)
From this it is more selective than a more generic schema such as OpenMapTiles etc., right? In the project name and/or description you could then define that this is a default preset list, and that it is customizable.
It is understandable if it is not how you want to show off the renderer (ie. makes it come across as less customizable).

Yes, the Taginfo developer prefers not to list generic styles
(showing all or most tags, rather than subsets, themes or tagging schemas ^{[set of tags defining a theme, or complementing, competing or superseding another set of tags, or being proposed]} in use).
However, you're welcome to make a PR or ask them. It is up to them to decide whether it is appropriate to include it.
Eg. Brian has reached out to OpenMapTiles in openmaptiles/openmaptiles#1269 , which could be included in Taginfo regardless of it being quite generic.
(meanwhile a derivative ie. teritorio-tourism-gl-style considers it to be redundant to list themselves though they might render only a subset of this schema)

Ok, thanks for clarification.
Yes, Smrender was created primarily to make sea charts and, as you already noted, I include a default ruleset aiming at rendering a sea chart. But of course it could render anything and not just that.

I'll read more about taginfo and how to include the project since rendering paper charts (digital charts made for printout) are a niche anyway ;)

I had to think a while to remember where I documented the import and here it is:

So I never imported 110. I stopped with importing the data because some discussion arose about the maintainability of the nodes (not just 110 but all of them). I started to write some scripts to check for updates but never finished it.

But of course I still have all scripts so I could convert the data of Pub110 to OSM and provide it as is to you.

And I don't think somebody else did the import since this is not as trivial as it sounds.

As for the Taginfo Projects file, if you're ready, be sure to send a PR to the taginfo-projects repository. (I see you already forked it)
It is okay if you start with the basic keys/tags, you can extend your file here later (and update its timestamp) when you have time.
