How to dispatch events to the window?

I am looking to dispatch events to the window, is this possible?

So in my webview would look like this:

class API:
    doStuff(self):
        webview.windows[0].events.dispatch('eventName', {'a': 1})

api = API()
window = webview.create_window(js_api=api)

And my JavaScript would look like this:

window.addEventListener('eventName', ()=> /* Do stuff */)

I see that I can do this, however, its not really desirable:

class API:
    window: webview.Window

    def on_loaded(self):
        self.window = webview.windows[0]

    def emit(self, name: str, data: object):
        self.window.evaluate_js(r"""
            window.dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent('{name}', {{ detail: {data} }}))
        """.format(name=name, data=json.dumps(data)))

    doStuff(self):
        self.emit('eventName', {'a': 1})

if __name__ == '__main__':
    api = API()

    window = webview.create_window('Application', 'http://localhost:4200', width=1800, height=1000, js_api=api)
    window.events.loaded += api.on_loaded
    webview.start(debug=True)

Would window.evaluate_js('window.dispatchEvent(new CustomEvent('eventName'))') work for you?

Yeah it would, just like my example above. But I was hoping/wondering if there was a built-in way of doing it without having to call evaluate_js.
