Reply-to only works for messages

I hope you've started great into 2025. I realized that there seems to be an issue with this plugin and I would truly appreciate, if you could look into my issue. The plugin used to work fine until some time ago, but right now I can only reply to messages via email.

For messages everything works fine - the only general issue is that the sender email is listed as noreply@fslci.org and thus when I click on reply, in addition to the postmark @reply... address, the email is also send to noreply@fslci.org. Not ideal, but also no big issue. Still, if this could somehow be resolved, that would be fantastic!

However, apart from messages, no other activties can be replied to via email. For activity updates, comments, tags etc. I always get "-- Replying to this email will not send a message directly to the recipient or group ---" line above my mails and thus cannot reply. Any idea what might be causing the issue so that it's working for messages, but nothing else? I'm running the latest version of Buddypress and BP GES.

Finally, is there a way to delete the "-- Replying to this email will not send a message directly to the recipient or group ---" line for all emails where replies are not possible and just keep the "--- Reply ABOVE THIS LINE to add a comment ---" line for those emails where replying is actually possible? Otherwise all emails that I am sending end up with this notice first, which doesn't make a lot of sense for newsletters and other emails.

This is working as intended. In Thunderbird, if you click on the "Reply" button, this will send a reply to the sender, which in your case would be noreply@fslci.org. If you click on the "Reply List" button, this will send a reply to the RBE email address. Likewise, if you click on the "Reply All" button, this will send a reply to everyone in the "To" and "Reply-To" headers. You can also test with Github's reply-by-email feature, which does the same thing as what BP RBE does.

Are you running the latest version of BP RBE? If not, download the latest master version from here and see if that fixes your problem. I can confirm that BP GES is working with BP RBE.

as I said, I'm running the latest version of both plugins. As it turns out, if I tag a user in a comment, I also have the ability to reply via email to that comment. It also works for BB Forum replies. So the only part where it doesn't work is the BP status update itself?!

Also, as per your suggestion, I tried to use add_filter( 'bp_rbe_show_non_rbe_notice', '__return_false' ); in both, BP Custom as well as in my Functions and it did not work either way!

In the debug log I can see the successful comments and messages being registered with "Webhook parsing completed" as the final statement. However, any status post updates do not register in the log.
