edit hdr10+ for adjusting into a clip

Hi!

I jave a HDR10+ .json from web-dl film and i want to inject into the same full bluray film.
The problem is that the web-dl has 1 more second at the beginning and is cropped into 3840x1600.

Can someone tell me how to inject removing the 1st second at beginning and allow 3840x2160 resolution?

Use the editor command:

hdr10plus_tool editor metadata.json -j edits.json -o metadata_modified.json

where edits.json is a file containing:

  ]
}

You need to adjust the removed frames accordingly to match 1 second of the actual video.

So a film of 23.976fps for 1 second, the value will be "24"?

PD: i assume that i dont hace to care about the different resolutions of films because you dont tell me anything to change :)

for 24fps 0-23 removes 24 frames.
The end is inclusive.

0-22 = 23..976fps
0-23= 24fps
0-24= 25fps

Is that correct? so i need 0-22 for my film with 23.976.

No, 23.976 should round up to 24.

Either way you're supposed to be precisely verifying the frames difference, not guessing that it's 1 second.

Hi!

I place both films in Premiere and synced and the difference is 1sec.
Another solution, is to reencode the web-dl without the difference and export the hdr10+. I assume that the new .json will be valid for the 4k...

Hello!

I did some test with original metadata and modified metadata, and i cant see any difference seeing the film.

I thought that using original metadata, the image will flash or similar when changing scene but film goes well.
What is supposed to be?
