Hot reload a certain session when the configuration changed

We running multiple FIX session at at time for connecting to multiple parties. When we want to make change some of the config of Session 1, we need to restart the application, which would affect others sessions as well. Does quickfix support the method for hot reload 1 session without affect others ?

Are these dynamic sessions or are they pre-defined in the config file?
If yes, then you can add or remove them programmatically.
If not, then it's a bit ugly. ;)

Thanks for reply, i am using pre-defined in the config file and not using the quickfixj version that support create/remove dynamic session.
In your reference links, I could only see that using the approach add and remove dynamic session, is there any workaround without using it ? Since we don't want to upgrade quickfixj library only for this change

What i am trying now:

• Logout, disconnect the target session
• Clear the old session settings by: getSessionProperties(sessionID) > then clear()
• Read the new configs from config file, put all the config into SessionProperties for the target session again
• Logon

Is that okay with this approach ? Please advise

That could work, but I'm not sure (and don't have access to my dev machine now to check) if the connector will read the new properties if you don't restart it.
Just test it. :)
