Oracle Dev Service times out

I'm trying to use the Oracle Dev Service for a database but when starting up in quarkus dev it fails…

For my version I use Quarkus 3.22.3 and what is downloaded from docker.io is docker.io/gvenzl/oracle-free:23.3-slim-faststart on a MAC arm64 and Podman.

I have tried to use other images but it fails as well.

What could be the issue here?

From what I can see, it looks like a problem with the Oracle images and ARM-based Macs. I found a reference here: gvenzl/oci-oracle-xe#175 .

Now this issue is quite old.
