I think there is a typo.

The code in https://github.com/mariofusco/quarkus-agentic-ai/blob/main/src/main/java/org/agenticai/aiastool/CityExtractorAgent.java does not have ApplicationScoped.

I think without ApplicationScoped is correct here, because as stated in javadoc of @RegisterAiService:

NOTE: The resulting CDI bean is jakarta.enterprise.context.RequestScoped by default. If you need to change the scope, simply annotate the class with a CDI scope. CAUTION: When using anything other than the request scope, you need to be very careful with the chat memory implementation.

or with @ApplicationScoped and thus with the NoChatMemoryProviderSupplier...
