Can excelize be used to write or append to existing worksheets ? Kindly let me know. If it does, I'd gladly learn go because I really badly need to add sheets and data to existing excel document.

Yes!! Excelize does allow adding sheets to existing sheets!!
Here's what I tried (Bad I know, but will do).
