Clarification on using Aerial Turbines

I seem to be having difficulties with setting up aerial turbines.

I have set up two Aerial Discharging Bases on opposite ends of the factory. Then, I have scheduled an Aerial Turbine MK01 to fly between the two Discharge Bases and "Store Energy" at each Discharge Base.

The problem is after watching the Aerial Turbine fly from one Discharge Base to the other, I will see it stop completely over the Discharge Base with no indication of electricity being offloaded to the Discharge Base let alone the power grid. There doesn't appear to be an attempt to return to the original Discharge Base either, and manually ordering a return flight causes the Turbine to instantly lose its charge with the same result as before upon completing the return flight.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a case of user error.
