Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Juan Vázquez, a meteorology and atmospheric physicist with a strong background in Python and large scale weather phenomena. I’m really excited to join this community to learn more about nowcasting, radar-based forecasting, and applying machine learning to extreme rainfall events. Currently, I’m working on research related to synoptic dynamics like baroclinic instability and frontogenesis, and I’m eager to contribute by sharing ideas, collaborating on projects, and helping build reproducible workflows with pySTEPS. I saw in the hackathon announcement that there are some crags close to Château d’Avin; so I’ll be bringing my harness and climbing shoes, and if I have space, maybe a rope and quickdraws too. Looking forward to some coding, climbing, and great company! |
