The following is the most effective way to run AppWish Ollama on a virtual machine
My setup is as follows: Memory on VM: 16GB (Have at least 8GB for a smooth experience). |

You have the option to use your GPU exclusively for Ollama (either through GPU passthrough or running Linux natively). Configuring either of those options can be challenging, and if you don't know what you're doing, it could potentially be harmful to your computer. It's not recommended unless you have a model that demands a lot of performance. Since AppWish Ollama use a normal model (perfomance wise), there is no need to use the entire GPU for us. When running a VMware machine on Ubuntu, Ollama's performance is so fast that we don't need anything more. |
