HI, i've tried that in the past. That does not work for me.
Do i need to set anything else somewhere else?

OK, so you're saying that text editors have a horizontal scroll bar when lines are too long? If so, there are only a couple of things that could be happening.

If soft-wrapping only fails on certain types of files, you might have some sort of scope-specific override somewhere. You can check your config file for these overrides (search for softWrap within your config.cson; if it's ever set to false, change it to true and save).

There's also an Editor: Toggle Soft Wrap command that you can execute via the command palette. That serves to toggle soft wrap on or off while you're in a certain file, and should have an effect only on that editor. If even that doesn't work, something is seriously going wrong.

Let me know what you find out.

Currently what i do is: every single time i open a document, press: CTRL+SHIFT+P to mannualy toggle the soft-wrap.
Which i would like to avoid .

I checked and no reference to softWrap is made in my config.cscon file.

I also tried modifiying my config.cson file by putting 'editor':'softWrap': false but that doe not work either.

So I can't think of any reason why the global setting wouldn't work. Only other thing I can suggest is starting Pulsar in safe mode to see if a package is somehow doing this.

Since you said that there's no occurrence of softWrap in your config.cson, that means the setting is off, since the default for editor.softWrap is false. So:

• Before launching in safe mode, go into Settings -> Editor and check the “Soft Wrap” box.
• Once you've done that, open your config.cson and confirm you now have an occurrence of softWrap: true somewhere in the file. If not, that'd be very strange.
• If that seems to work, and makes it so that you don't have to press Ctrl+Shift+P upon opening a new file, quit Pulsar…
• …then relaunch and ensure the setting is persisting across launches. If not, then that'd be very strange.
• If either of these very strange things happens, follow the directions linked above to launch in safe mode, then try these steps again. If the strange behavior goes away, then that strongly suggests that one of your packages is interfering with the editor.softWrap setting somehow.

If nothing else works, I can at least give you a snippet to put in your init.js that automatically toggles soft wrap on every time you open a new editor, but I'll treat that as a last resort.
