how do I increase size of editor gui font?

If you're using the default theme (One Dark/One Light), it allows you to increase GUI font size in its settings.

Go to Settings -> Themes, then click on the gear icon button next to the dropdown. Look for the “font size” setting.

If you use a different UI theme that doesn't expose a setting, it's a bit trickier and might have to be done in more piecemeal fashion using style overrides. I have this on my list of things to fix (gradual evolution of themes toward CSS variables so that users can change the base font-size in a one-liner in their user stylesheet).
