Catalog RIS export isn't working from My Account when it includes PALCI record #1427

My Account uses the Catalog's RIS export function. Unfortunately, it has an issue when a record that shows up in My Account isn't in the Catalog.

While almost all items in My Account's regular checkout list should be in the catalog, there will sometimes be shadowed records which won't be in the catalog. These might be ILL, non-ILLiad records, e.g. PALCI, but might also be equipment or something similar.

Sample URL: http://catalog.libraries.psu.edu/bookmarks/bulk_ris/232497030,5721335,2368502

Catkeys:

  • 232497030: temporary PALCI record, shadowed
  • 5721335: The case for books : past, present, future
  • 2368502: How to disappear completely and never be found

Remove the temporary record and it works fine: http://catalog.libraries.psu.edu/bookmarks/bulk_ris/5721335,2368502

This is not an issue on the Catalog side because a record must be in the index to be bookmarked.

But on the My Account side, a record might show up that's not in the Catalog but still in the Symphony (not ILLiad) portion of the display.

Perhaps we could handle this by adding an exception that it simply ignores catkeys that don't exist in the catalog index? (I thought about some other things but none seem reliably workable)

Fortunately, the email still works.

Yes, I'm exporting a list of all my current checkouts at 10pm.
