This PR basically merges a "bunch" of work done in my private branch, by mistakes... etc.

The main thing is fixing

• Fixing clean installation for new ember projects, which should solve issues around ember 3.28.x installations, (our product had been stuck with it, so we were publishing versions where it lastly worked, at 6.x)... now it works, we can just keep publishing under 7.x+
