Describe the bug

I'm trying to add an icon link to always display in a job listing to direct people to their job application: https://indian-hill-oh.proudcity.com/documents/application-for-employment/ in addition to the "more jobs posting" icon link that's currently there.

To reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a job list https://indian-hill-oh.proudcity.com/job/shooting-club-trapper/
2. See only more job posting icon
3. View admin widgets and the new icon for job application is saved but not displaying: https://indian-hill-oh.proudcity.com/wp-admin/widgets.php

@kevindherman the default template does not call the Job sidebar for Single Jobs so the icon will not show up here by design at this point.

There is old code there that does call the Job sidebar but it's commented out. My concern is that on other customer sites we have content in this area that will "suddenly" show up on their pages if we uncomment this code to show the content of the sidebar. I did spot check around 6 sites and they all have widgets for Content List Filters and a More Jobs widget that appears to be the same as what is currently hard coded into the template.

I does appear that I can empty all the widgets out of the sidebar-job widget area programmatically.

So if we're going to do this, I need to write a script to remove the content of the widget area for everyone. Then Indian Hill will need to add their content back after.

Question: Do you have any recollection on why this was removed?

Should be able to empty a widget area with code like below. I'd used sidebar-job to empty it.

What's on Indian Hill is what's on City Template so I think a change was made there which is why it's not global.

Ideally, platform-wide we would keep the jobs sidebar but fix it to:

• Get rid of the content list + content list filter approach
• Add more jobs icon like City Template and Indian Hill use linking to /jobs
• Then if there are unique cases linking to the an application like Indian Hill is requesting, I can do it from the widgets page for jobs sidebar

@curtismchale does that seem like a good approach to have a simpler standard and then the sidebar can be used for requested flexibility?

@kevindherman I've got this working, sort of. The script to clear the widget area needs a bit of work which requires a new build each time so I'm working on that. I hope to ship this today.

It will clear the widget for Indian Hill as well. I'll try to remember to replace it.

@kevindherman this is deploying to test now and production in a bit. I've set it to clear the widgets if anyone visits the site for any reason which should catch 99% of sites because at least someone will visit in some fashion.

I'll remove the widget clearing code after it's deployed to test/prod which should give it a few hours to have a single visit.
