If you configure https://profanity-im.github.io/guide/latest/reference.html#time correctly it will contain the date. |

Besides that this only works if there's traffic in the MUC. Honestly I'm also missing this since I'm coming from irssi where this is the default behavior. I'm thinking of adding this to profanity. What do you think would be a good granularity of configuration? I'd say global is sufficient and maybe we enable it per default and setting the "format string" to an empty string would disable it? |

Just go through the user guide and reference. It's easy to search there in your browser. Things like date and time would be good words to search for and you would have found this in seconds :) |

I'm not aware of a plugin that prints "day changed to" at midnight.
