Docs overview page crashes on Safari on iPad

When I go to https://shiny.posit.co/py/docs/overview.html on my iPad with Safari browser it works at first, but then every 1-2 minutes the site crashes and re-loads.

I don't have an error message. But when I open it in Safari or Chrome on MacOS I see various errors related to shinylive loading files. Not sure if it's related.

Thanks for the report. What year/model of iPad?

The tutorial pages are running a lot of WASM code, maybe we need to fallback to something lighter for certain classes of device.

It's a 9th gen iPad from 2021 running iPadOS 17.5.1

@cpsievert I do see a lot of errors on https://shiny.posit.co/py/docs/overview.html on Chrome for macOS, are we expecting these?

Huh, strange. I don't see any errors on Chrome, but I do see some on Safari. Let me know if you're seeing something different than this:

Ah, and that error is surfacing the fact that pydeck currently isn't working in shinylive
