No Debugger for R?

New Mac, R 4.5.1 running, Clean Install of Positron 2025.07 build 204
No extensions other than built-ins and bootstraps

clean folder with

test.R

print("hello")

I cannot get the R debugger to work.

Tried an R Debugger (0.5.5) extension for the debugger
Cannot install the 'R Debugger' extension because it conflicts with Positron built-in features.

I am experienced in RStudio - over many years - and I am sure this is something "obvious" I am missing.

But for it not to work out of the box is not great.
