Bracket matching visibility

Hi,

The square bracket matching makes it difficult to see where my cursor is especially when there are multiple parentheses. Is there an option to revert back to the R studio bracket matching where the parentheses are highlighted/bolded? I guess this is a default VScode feature.

I've attached an example. You can't really identify where the cursor is when the square bracket matching is initiated near a parentheses.

Can you share what theme you are using here? Is this Positron Dark? It looks much more clear in Positron Light:

Thanks Julia. That makes sense. Yes, I am using Dark modern. I am a particularly partial to the dark background, if there’s any recommended way to make the bracket matching a bit more clear on a dark background. Thanks! I have opened #8494 to track and prioritize this improvement. You might try out another dark theme in the meantime, such as GitHub Dark.
