Lastest version on Github and Posit web

Why is the Posit's website positron version older than the Github's?

We are in a slightly awkward state right at this very moment, because we are transitioning out of our beta period.

Before, the situation was that we made available:

• monthly pre-releases, via https://positron.posit.co/download and automatic updates within the product itself
• weekly pre-releases on GitHub at https://github.com/posit-dev/positron/releases

That release https://github.com/posit-dev/positron/releases/tag/2025.07.0-170 is our last weekly pre-release, as we note in the description there.

After, the situation is now that we make available:

• monthly stable releases (first one coming this week!), via https://positron.posit.co/download and automatic updates within the product itself
• daily builds as described in Daily builds of Positron are now available #7957 for folks who are early adopters interested in trying out features right away (these also update automatically from within the product itself)

Moving forward, these will be the only two types of releases we make available, monthly and daily. Thanks for your patience with us as we transition out of our beta period! 🙌

I've used since november last year, and I haven't opened neither RStudio nor VS code since then.💯
