Mapping blips to teams

I really like your additional feature to map blips to teams. I thinks it's really valuable to set the blips into an additional context within your organization.

Hi @patricebouillet and @johannesmarx,

at the moment, we’re a bit hesitant to introduce a fixed “Teams” categorization, as it would add another layer of classification on top of the existing tags. We’d probably avoid making our internal teams public anyway.

From our perspective, we’ve been thinking more along the lines of extending the tags feature to support some kind of hierarchy. Ideally, it would be flexible and generic — not hardcoded to “Team,” but allowing us to label it as “CoP,” “Project,” “Customer,” or similar, depending on the use case.

I’ve started a conversation with @srotsch, and he’ll hopefully outline the feature in more detail as an issue in our https://github.com/AOEpeople/aoe_technology_radar repo.

Yes, indeed, I also had a more generic approach in mind but the "team-feature" looked like a valid starting point to me.

The motivation for having some more meta data on the blips - I'd like to connect the Tech Radar blips to other "entities". Something like e.g.

• teams
• platforms
• applications
• business strategies
• ...

As the Tech Radar helps to visualize the Tech Strategy, it might be helpful to have some kind of "reality check". Basically to see how well is the strategy reflected/adopted in reality and were gaps might be to focus on.

And as you say, a tag hierarchy could generically provide that functionality from my point of view (with maybe some more advanced filtering options like multi-select etc).
