Stumped on String Substitution

I'm confused as to why this isn't working (obviously)... Here's the string I'm building:

This works perfectly fine in DataGrip. What am I missing? Debug is showing this:

If I wrap ${textSearch} in double quotes I then get PostgresError: could not determine data type of parameter $4. Can't figure out how to cast it in this syntax.
