Greatly appreciate this code for enabling backup of mailboxes via IMAP.

I notice that Google is pushing to get rid of basic authentication this year 2024. I could only get this code to work by utilising app passwords.

However, it is possible Google may eventually sunset this too. Given Google's roadmap are there any plans to add OAuth to IMAPbox for connection to Google mailboxes?

This would also be so helpful for MS356 mailboxes.

It looks like, a google app registration + verification is needed to obtain the necessary oauth credentials (User keys do not seem to be supported anymore).

About when verification is not needed: https://support.google.com/cloud/answer/13464323?sjid=2126312531964339995-NA

... how could this be handled with imapbox?

I had success with https://github.com/simonrob/email-oauth2-proxy against O365 and it should also work with Gmail. Maybe this project or a list of possible solutions could be mentioned somewhere
